The difference between positive and negative conflict is how it is understood and managed within the workplace. It is not unusual for managers to feel ill-equipped in managing workplace conflicts. This leads to the negative situations or behaviours creating toxic teams and poorly performing workplaces.
What we all need to appreciate is that conflict management skills can be taught and are a learnt communication skills. Conflict need not necessarily be viewed as negative, and if properly managed can lead to positive change. The course will equip managers with the communication tools to manage and de-escalate interpersonal conflict and the analytical skills to review and diagnose a conflict so the most appropriate way to manage it can be employed.
The course is suitable for managers and H.R personnel whose responsibility is to manage workplace conflicts.
This is a two day course. The training is divided into part 1 and part 2. Day one is delivered on week 1 and Part 2 training is delivered on week two or three. This is to provide participants with the opportunity to have implemented the learning from part 1.
